6. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to:
• Shopify, which hosts and supports our online store.
• Payment processors and financial institutions.

Our store uses Shopify Network Intelligence. Shopify processes visits and purchases together with information from interactions with other merchants and Shopify for services such as security, personalization and advertising. Information is shared with Shopify and relevant providers, potentially in other countries. See Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and manage available rights and advertising choices through the Shopify Privacy Portal. Required consent applies to these uses.
7. Service providers and transfers outside Québec
Shopify and certain payment, fulfilment, delivery or technology providers may process or store personal information outside Québec or Canada. Information processed elsewhere can be subject to local laws and lawful access by authorities.
Québec law requires a privacy impact assessment before communicating personal information outside Québec or entrusting its collection, use, disclosure or storage to a provider outside Québec. Such processing must be covered by a written agreement and may proceed only with adequate protection and the required legal basis. These are obligations of MAISON ATLAS; using a provider does not transfer away our responsibility.
We limit provider access to the information necessary for the service. You may contact us for information about the categories of providers involved in your order and the applicable processing locations. Adding a provider or a new use must be assessed before customer information is shared.
8. RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
• Complete transactions and provide services.
• Maintain business, accounting and tax records.
• Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
• Prevent fraud and maintain security.
• Fulfil legal and regulatory requirements.
When information is no longer required, we securely destroy it or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law and our retention practices.
9. SECURITY SAFEGUARDS
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These may include access controls, secure platforms, encryption where appropriate, staff and provider confidentiality requirements, monitoring and incident-response procedures.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Customers should protect their passwords, devices and account information and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized activity.
10. PRIVACY INCIDENTS
If a confidentiality incident involving personal information occurs, we will assess the incident and take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of harm and prevent similar incidents.
Where the incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify affected individuals and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec as required by law. A register is kept for all confidentiality incidents, including incidents that do not require notification.

We may verify your identity before processing a request. Legal exceptions may apply, and we will explain any refusal where required.
